A video published by Le News this morning shows the dramatic rescue of around 60 people from a chair lift in Verbier.

According to their report a helicopter had to be brought in to take people off the chair lift from above, in an operation that took over two and a half hours.

Everyone was brought back to safety, although with the temperature yesterday sitting at around -8 degrees Celcius, there must have been a fair bit of warming up to be done by the skiers afterwards.
