On trails from Fionnay to the Panossière hut
History
In 1953, Louis Dumoulin, was caretaker (guardien) of the Panossière hut, and his son was lost in the Mauvoisin region. At that time the only way to give the guardien this news was to walk to the hut. Therefore, guide Louis Wuilloud left Fionnay to travel to the hut with the bad news, which took him 1h45. Nobody wanted to believe that he could achieve such a feat, since the usual walking time to reach the cabin was estimated at four hours.
