Good cover both on and off piste provide a great weeks skiing

This last week the weather has been quite mixed, with everything from sun and snow to clouds and rain. Although the rain that fell below Ruinettes has degraded the pistes a lot the quality of snow in all the open areas is excellent.

The forecast for the weekend is for a continuation of the mixed weather so fingers crossed for some more snow. Sadly the Verbier Ride competition that was due to take place this weekend has been cancelled for the moment but keep an eye out for breaking news when the new dates are finalised.

Upcoming Events

The resort is the home of the Xtreme Verbier, the final stop on the Freeride World Tour. This extreme skiing and snowboarding contest is held on the famous Bec des Rosses mountain in March. During the summer months, the resort is home to the Verbier Festival, a classical music festival of international acclaim, the Grand Raid Cristalp mountain biking competition and the Grand Concours Hippique horse show.
